 An app has been launched by the government on the occasion of completion of one year of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which gives cash amount of Rs. 6,000 to farmers in a year. 
 

The app has been launched by Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday.  The beneficiary farmers of this scheme will be able to get many facilities through the app.  The status of payment of PM Kisan Nidhi, whether or not your name is registered as per Aadhaar, farmers will be able to know about the status of registration and their eligibility for the scheme.

 The mobile app has been designed by the National Informatics Center, Electronics Ministry and Information Technology.  This scheme is also being considered important in PM Narendra Modi's goal of doubling farmers' income by 2022.  Portal facility is already available for all the facilities including registration for this scheme
.

 The portal provides end-to-end technology solutions for transferring funds directly to the accounts of registered farmers.  Farmers also have a place on the portal, where they can register their request online with the help of themselves or common service centers and check the status of their application or improve the name of Aadhaar etc.

 Under this scheme, the government has set a target to benefit 14 crore farmers.  So far, 9.74 crore farmers have registered themselves under this.  However, the West Bengal government has not implemented this scheme in its province and there are no beneficiaries.  Under this scheme, which started on February 24 last year, 8.45 crore farmers have been benefited so far
